Omega refs?

Got an old ref. 2791 Omega from 1954 and i was wondering if anyone knew which model line the watch belongs to?

I have heard that the ref. 2937 was the first with the seamaster print on the dial and it shares a lot of similarities with the 2791, but does this mean that the 2791 belongs to the seamaster line? or is model lines not a thing for these old models?

and is it just me or is the omega refs and models hard to get a handle on and understand?

According to Omega themselves, it is indeed part of the Seamaster line:

My dad has the same watch in all gold. Took it to an omega guy in Burlington arcade and he said it was a standalone that was assembled in London for a time in the 50s - a very cool and unique idea

Gorgeous Timepiece! 😍 I'm a "sucker" for small seconds vintage Omegas. They just look "so classy". Wear it well my friend, Cheers!
