Not sure who needs to hear this…but instead of replacing a $35-$65 curling iron for your significant other, the spring that’s probably the culprit is like $1 to $3…and a 2 min fix with your 4 year old = extra cash for your next watch..…and you can clean up the black stuff on it with a magic eraser.

More than 30 years ago I was a confident younger guy who thought renovating a brownstone erected sometime after 1880 or 13 years after Canada’s Confederation would be a walk in the park. 5 years after he allowed me to marry his youngest daughter my father in law visiting from Taipei Taiwan surveyed my slow progress and increasing inventory of both hand and power tools suggested I interview a few skilled general contractors who arrive with skills and tools. I am presently rehabbing a badly injured shoulder after slipping on some ice repairing an 3rd floor security door that leads to a roof deck. Not trying to save dollars but it has become almost impossible to find hand men for small repairs.

I love children until they hit the age of 5 when they debate everything, argue about schedules etcetera you have a long road ahead my friend. Our two daughters are in their 30s, professionals only return home for good dinners, interest free loans lately watches from the old guy. Keep well and stay safe! ❤️
