When you're not online consuming all things watch-related and finally decide to venture out and see these fancy trinkets; are you laser-focused on a specific watch, or open to several with the possibility of discovering something new?
I have a shortlist but I'm open to suggestions, and if one of the suggestions strike my fancy I'll wait a week to see if I still want it to ensure it's not an impulse buy

It'll be interesting to see how this goes. I'm more open to discovery now than I used to be for sure.

The first mechanical watch I wanted was a 36mm Blue Rolex OP and you can imagine how that went over at my AD. So after some online browsing I narrowed my search to a few simple blue sunray dials from Tissot and Longines (Gentleman and Spirit). My AD also showed me a Tag Heuer Carrera Date 3 hand. Say what you want about the value of Tag but I really liked it. So I just asked the sales associate for his name\card and told him I'd be back in a few days after mulling things over. I came back 3 days later and purchased the Tag. Since then I have acquired the Rolex I originally wanted but I still wear my Tag semi regularly and is the only watch I take on travel. I like to think I haven't moved on from it because I took the time to really think about if I liked it or not

Great story, and a decent watch to start off with. Glad you finally got the OP too.
