Went for my first big try on!

My soon-to-be fiancée and I went ring shopping at King of Prussia Mall a bit ago, and I figured I’d stop at Bucherer to try on potential wedding watch candidates (not that we’ll have that kind of money by then, but a man can dream). The people there were delightful. I tried on BB 58s, BB 36s, a 54, among other pieces. But the Explorer was just perfect. It was an older reference with the hollow links, but it just felt right. Guess I need to start saving!

With chase credit cards you can do a 2 year 0 Apr payment plan this watch will be like 180 bucks a month

That’s shockingly tempting…lol. I’ve always heard that financing watches is generally a no-go. Can you share your experience?

I woudlnt pay interest on a watch but 0 Apr over two years i feel you get that desirable watch you can wear for life but spread out the burden of cost. You could always sell out of it and make all your money back if you buy a watch at a good price. It’s the interest I woudlnt recommend for a watch. I just got a Rolex Starbucks at retail and had to put half on 0 Apr but if I ever sold the watch I’d make all my money back and then some. If you have no other major debt and can do it responsibly I don’t see why not, because like I said you could sell out of it and break even at any time.

I’m my experience less is more I have moved from many watches (15-17) to 5 of higher quality. I think you will always crave it so I wanted to speed up the enevitable. I’ll now have these few watches for life and give them to my daughter. I can also now afford to service and take care of them because I only have a few and not a bunch
