Hi All. I have just joined watchcrunch. It's great to join you guys. My daily beater watch is a g shock rainbow. I have never got tired of it even after 1 year of wearing it. Am wondering what is your best beater watch you guys have?
I have a huge problem with beaters: they're my favorite kind of watches 😅 tough watches with crazy value for money, aka beaters, make almost 50% of my collection. But here is the problem: when comes the time to actually use one in a really rugged situation (camping, survivalism, etc...)... Well i care about them too much to risk them 😅 But in the end i do have 2 real beater's i'd take with me anywhere: a vostok amphibia that i DID NOT mod (because i moded my first vostok and took too much of a liking for it to bring it in the woods) and a G-Shock (because, common, it's a g-shock).

I understand what you are saying. I liked my g shock rainbow that it became my daily goto watch. But I am very conscious of getting it scratched. So much so I don't know if I want to get another beater watch. When will it all end....:)

Haha, the answer probably is: never. I got my first better (vostok), modded it, than didn't want to get it scratched so i got another beater. But i do use that one as a proper beater, so there is hope for you!
Like @thewatchcomedian, I have a number of beater watches that never really get beaten. GMWB5000, Vostok Komandirskie and Amphibia, Casio Edifice, Islander Field Watch, etc. I always fall back to my GWM5610 as my daily beater.

Welcome! I have a white gshock. Had it long before John Mayer 😉

Beater watches, kind of hard to describe, right? I will take off my $50.00 Casio Duro when mowing the grass, and put on a $100.00 solar square G.

You definitely need a beater for your beater
