You have practically eliminated all the great chronographs. So I can only recommend the ebel 1911 Chronograph with the caliber 137 (lemania based). Ebel don't them anymore. So got to source from the resale market.

Whether it's a OP 36 or 41, if you have found yourself a good deal, I suggest to grab it 1st. Because prices of both just keeps on creeping up. Hell if you do not like it later on, you can be assured it will retain its value.

I understand what you are saying. I liked my g shock rainbow that it became my daily goto watch. But I am very conscious of getting it scratched. So much so I don't know if I want to get another beater watch. When will it all end....:)
