Doxa from early 1950 18k gold cap

A very heavy patina on the dial. But it looks so good.

Patina monster! 🔥

Even I think that patina looks spectacular though I'm not usually a fan!

The 1080 is also one of the most significant watch movements ever as it's the grandmother of all modern ETAs - they, like it, all use directly driven centre seconds and put the whole gear train under a single bridge.

Hands were definitely replaced. While the seconds hand could be original, this is a no-lume dial, and it shouldn't have lumed hands. With that dial, Doxa used feuille (leaf) hands.

Wow! This is an incredible find. Absolutely love the dial and how it has aged.
