Watch Recommendations

I'll be retiring in June and I'm looking a gold Tone watches. Rado is the top of my list because its funky case and day/date at 6. I love the Citizen dial and integrated bracelet. Any others I need to consider?

I love the citizen, I would consider the seiko presage SRPK46

Those are nice too. I have a red sharp edge Presage.

What about the certina Ds7?

Actually fella, no offense but it depends on your skin tone.

The rado looks amazing if you have darker skin, ( my friend has one of these and he comes from Indonesia and looks top dog on his wrist, not on mine sadly )but if your are of fair skin, the citizen would be the better option. But really you try to get some wrist time first.

But I would go for a vintage gold omega.

The Omega Constallations are always on my list. I'm just scared to go vintage. I kind of want a new watch to commemorate my retirement anyway

·

Why not a bronze Venezianico ? Check them out #venezianico

·

Rado. Distinct on its own.

What's your price range?

·

Tough call for me as I have both 😂

Rado is super vintage in looks and the Series 8 is a bit more modern

Anyway , if you like gold retro style, Brew Metric does a cool gold vintage inspired style around 700 dollars as I remember, but it might not be your cup of tea but worth a gander.

Citizen hands down

I love it!!

Have you tried them on? That usually decides it for me.

From the pictures I say the Citizen, very crisp. But I love lugs so lug-less watches and integrated bracelets is not my thing. Can’t really explain why I hesitate on integrated bracelet. My best guess is that I came from vintage side in my collecting, and then you have to be very careful of what to choose since there often isn’t any spare parts available if something goes wrong.

I am a sucker for integrated bracelets. I know you can't change them but sometimes I like them better than that actual watch.

I would say the Citizen for sure.

·

Uptown FUNK gonna give it to ya.

Did you check out the Brew Metric?

Oh yeah! I forgot about that model! Thanks for sharing!

·

Oh the Rado ahead of the Citizen any day of the week.

·

I have the RADO Diastar and it is small and very retro in appearance. It does get compliments from the ladies though. It is very blingy, 70s-looking. Very nice but it definitely is for certain occasions. Get yourself a brown turtleneck and you’re ready to go!

·

Well, I just recently bought a diastar. So I am biased. If you are into gold watches, check out the skeleton gold diastar. I went with the silver, but I am not into gold at all.

·

Man that citizen is way too nice

·

OMG. The Rado looks absolutely hideous to me, the Citizen somewhat ok but still quite gaudy. So my taste is of little help with your decision, sorry.
