What to do with this beast?

Quickly, living in SoCal I won this as a closest to the pin contest tap-in bird (nearly holing out over the tourney host Alice Cooper- that alone is a story) Oakley HQ'd here gave me this hunk of a watch as an atta'boy. I rarely wear it, its a big bold, circa early-2000's Oakley Minute Machine quartz all titanium case, gaudy as all-hell and takes up a lot of watch box real estate. Anyone have one of these big boys? I swapped out the ugly titanium bracelet with an OEM rubber strap from the HQs building itself. Less Mad Max looking I reckon.

Keep it. You just told the cool story that goes with it and if you get rid of it, you lose the story and the memory!! 🍻

Agreed, my friend.🤘🏼

Awesome story!!!

·

That is crazy! Do you have a picture of it on the bracelet?

I wouldn’t change a thing… good story, unique. If you don’t like it get something else, and save this one for when you want something unique and has a story. Most watches don’t have that. 🍻

Own it. Wear it every day for a month. Own every stare and answer every question. Life is too short to limit yourself to a standard size box😁👍🏾

It looked like this at the time. It was all titanium and very ornate. Obvs people liked it enough, just not my taste. I went for the safer less-bondage route (of rubber lol). Photos r not mine, pulled from the interwebs.

There's always one in the box that makes you say, "huh?" U got it @SimonB I'll own it. My 6.5" wrist may think otherwise🤣

Oh yes the minute machine! I really wanted one but they were quite pricey in my early collecting days.

Damn… on eBay costs still 2’000+ dollars! But it doesn’t look bad, seems like a Monaco that went to the gym
