2023 Resolutions; How Did You Do?

The closure of the year has a way of turning Man reflective. This year is no different. How successful was my 2023?

While not as successful as I'd hoped, there was a bright spot...

As the year of 2022 began to draw to a close, I knew 2023 could not be like 2022, so I made a goal. No, not a goal; a resolution. What was my resolution?

Its true, but to not try is to fail

I like to think of them as plans not resolutions. And for me all plans are fluid and adaptable. Life happens and will generally create obstacles, but we can improvise, adapt, and overcome (I stole that from the Marines) to reach our goal.

That Lorier is gonna look sweet! I can't wait to see it on WRUW.

Congrats on 359 days! That’s amazing! I thought I was doing well not buying anything since April.

I did a bad job for 2023. I now set a goal for 2024 just 3 watches. Damn why did I just make that commitment. I'll give it my best lol.

I did not buy, nor seriously consider buying, a watch in 2023.

Yup, pretty sure 😀

I spent SO much time and money between Fall of 2020 and Fall of 2022, I had to reel myself in. My last purchase experience in Oct '22 was so awesome, I was like, yeah, this MIGHT be it...and so far...

I'm just a work in progress but I often find inspiration and strength in the achievements of others. Well done!

We are all a work in progress; some just further along in areas than others.

Right?

Thank you for sharing I know we all have challenges on this watch collecting journey. We just got to stay firm and spend wisely. I will share mine is maybe buy one or two watches this year and same time downsizing. Discipline is key and we shall see.
