I've been thinking about your watch and its bothering me. It seems to be a waste that its not working. I was thinking maybe the solution is a quartz jump start (technically, a reset, at the time of battery renewal).
As I'm living outside of your country, I've been searching for a watch maker that can repair digital watches. I came across this site. Maybe you can try reaching out and see if anything can be done? Since Casio wouldn't do anything for you.

I'm not sure if it's anywhere near you.

Sorry to hear about your watch perhaps maybe its one of those discontinued models? Just incase nothing gets resolve I know it was a gift best you can do keep in the watch box special spot or shadow box frame hung some where nice in your place.

Thats explains it just when you remember that special time and place and the watch you was wearing you never forget. I was wearing the basic fw91 them days I didn't care because I was always a One Watch person until a few years ago went to two and now... too many lol

No worries. Just helping out whenever I can
Keep us posted, whatever happens next. Sad to see an old soldier like that laid out after loyal service. 🍻

Have not given up the fight yet. If I will try to get an old seiko 5 I bought off an auction repaired I will try to fix my old Casio that was a gift.

TrophyWife bought it for me. It’s on a list of watches that need to be serviced.
