I was out for a Christmas drink last Saturday and my auntie was wearing a vintage TAG and was talking to me about it.
One trip to Ebay later and this beautiful watch was on its way to me!
Not sure on the exact year but I estimate '86 - '95. Pretty broad estimate but it's the best I can do ๐
38mm in diameter, 35.5mm at the bezel and only 9mm thick.
When new, this piece would come on a two tone bracelet but the Leather band it was sold to me on is brand new and seems to be really nice quality so I'll leave it on that for now.

Fabulous pick! So beautifully 90s!
I almost bought that watch too !!!!
Nice! Well that movement is dated February of 1990, so the watch is either a 1990, or 1991. Thatโs how TAG stamped the quartz movements back then. Of course, it could be a swapped movement, or a swapped movement with the original coil cover? We will never know, but Iโd say 1990, as itโs stamped in the usual fashion. Nice 3000 series! You donโt see these every day.
Looks like itโs a transitional period ETA quartz movement? It looks like the circuit board is โmissingโ the trimmer screw. I wonder if the newer ones are non adjustable, but have an updated board. Thatโs very interestingโฆ is it keeping good time?

Thanks so much for the info! I'm hoping it's a 1992 and it's an accidental birth year watch ๐
Timekeeping seems to be perfect after a couple of days but I will check after a week or so and let you know

Could very well be a 1992. I have a 2000 exclusive from 1999 that is dated 1998, but they werenโt released until 1999. They probably just used back stock movements. Also a 90s baby here haha 1994! Still havenโt found a 1994 watch ๐ฃ
I had one of the 3000s in that colour way. I sold it to a colleague at my last work - he loved it and I wasnโt wearing as much as I wanted to. Happy to see it move on to someone who cared, and it funded my Enicar ATP. Great watch. I still have a silver/grey 34mm 3000, so I have the fix.
