CWC Conundrum

I've had my eye on CWC for quite a while now and I'd like to buy one, however I can't decide whether to go traditional RN diver or SBS.

I have gone for the no date/day options as I already have loads of day date watches and I think the window dominates the watch face on these, it looks cleaner without.

I feel like the RN diver is more versatile, it'll suit different straps and it's more casual, whereas the SBS is unapologetically utilitarian, all black everything and I already have a few all black watches, but also, it's SBS! With a decent strap the SBS could also be really cool.

What do you think?

want to add a cwc myself one day, hard choice both really nice if you already have a stainless steel diver I'd go for the black with the added appeal of the sbs tag

I voted the Navy diver, not a big fan of black coated watches, just my opinion but something that could ultimately get scratched off, just wanted to add if you don't mind the dial reading MWC then the watch below is a very much cheaper option, and it has certainly scratched the itch for me, I am not sure how much better the CWC actually is apart from the name on the dial, I would love to see a comparison video, this has turned out to be one of my most ever worn watches, sapphire lens screw-crown very tough and decent lume for around £240

Yeah MWC are on my radar, I think you pay a premium to have the CWC name and their connections with genuine issued watches, otherwise it's a very simple watch.

I also thought about the PVD coating being scratched off, part of me would think it looks cool, scars of use, and the other would be annoyed it looks battered.

I voted for the PVD version because the steel one looks off to me. The rehaut is HUGE and the dial sits very low compared to the level of the bezel/crystal which I don't like, but it's less visually distracting in the PVD one with the black rehaut blending with the dial.

had my eyes on the sbs auto for a long time and might buy one eventually. It just looks great in my opinion

I like some contrasting colors

I'm personally torn between adding a SBS DD, or a solar diver, but that's just me. The versatility of the RN is a real plus. You could probably even put a bonklip bracelet on it whereas the SBS would be more limited with strap options. I say buy them both then send back the one that doesn't feel right.
