Just picked this up as a new addition for 2024! Been wanting to check out San Martin and wanted to find a field watch. So, kindred spirits? Can any Crunchers tell me about their experience with San Martin?

Haven’t gotten a San Martin yet but that’s a great looking, no nonsense field watch. I like the knurling on the crown.

Yes. For under $90. I’m very happy with it.
Tight!
San Martin continues to improve and evolve but has already earned its place in the watch space. IMO they just don't produce a good watch for the money but a good watch period.
In my experience SM's specs, finishing, bracelets, QC and use of proven Seagull and Seiko movements are all on point.
Though they are often knocked as just a homage brand they actually make many original pieces that don't get as much attention like this chronograph with a Seagull movement:
Their "Climbing" Explorer homage is a super solid option for a field watch and a worthy companion to the original if one wants to sport something less expensive:
I think the Ali Express association hurts them more than helps them because they are head and shoulders above most of the other lines featured there.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Thanks. I think they should break free from AliExpress as well.

Please ,oh please may the watch brands get away from AliX. Alixepress is like having Spyware of your computer. What's worse is how the often try to force you to download Temu
I haven't handled one yet but very interested
Nothing but praise for San Martin. Great build quality and finish, well above the price tag. Just picked up my second one following a really nice first experience!
