I guess the heart likes what the heart likes

When the Hodinkee x Autodromo was announced, I knew I was going to get one, thought about one of the wilder color ways, mainly the Aqua, but ended up going with the green without really thinking it through.

I really like it, always wanted a Group B but didn’t feel like it would get worn amongst my other time only watches, but the chrono made it make sense for me. Anyways, after wearing it on the bracelet for a few days, knew I wanted to try some straps. As I was playing with straps earlier, I ended up with the attached and came to the realization that both of the micro brands I own were in similar colors and I gravitated towards similar brighter straps.

Green is my favorite color, but these are what I think my first two somehow. Out of 8 watches, kind of strange that the only two micros are the same color.

This looks great on that strap. Also the green dial was my favorite out of the bunch.

Nice paring; looks good on the Mai Tai. How do you like the ADPT? I have some and really like them. Well made, if a little stiff. Nothing a few runs through the washing machine can’t handle, though.

Apparently it was everybody else’s favorite as well since it was the first one to sell out.

I think this strap might be four years old, though frankly outside of the first few months, I hadn’t worn it. I like them as much as any other “nicer” NATO, but what I really like are the colors they’ve done like this one.

I’m actually surprised since the other colors are inspired by real life rally liveries.

As someone who doesn't really harbor any feelings towards actual Group B nostalgia, I was tempted by the aqua colored one, but I know I'll get more wear out of the green one since its a bit more subtle.

I agree with you. The green is definitely more subtle. However if I was going to the track every weekend I think I’d go with one of the other colors.

I love the Green on the Olmsteads… really may have to add one to my box to compliment by Humboldt GMT!
