I was exactly between these two pieces. I pulled the trigger on the sinn and i couldnt be happier.
Spontaneous decided for the Sinn556 I RS. Dial amazing, size amazing, red secound gives ma a smile every time. Orderer it on the rubber because Sinn will get an updated clasp with micro adjust on the bracelet for several models - 556 as well. Waiting for it and will order as alternative to the rubber now 👌
At the tudor i wasnt quite sure and its still on my list. The Sinn is my daily now 🥳
I love both Tudor and Sinn, but in terms of designs and utility between the two, I would go Sinn. It just has a more unique look and feel - and super legible.
If you were asking which is the better watch overall, I'd say the Ranger. Better finishing, better bracelet and on-the-fly microadjustment (at least until Sinn put out the new clasp for the 556), better movement. It's overall better.
BUT, as a field watch? The Sinn is the better choice IMHO. Why? Mostly the far better value. A field watch is basically one step away from a "beater" watch and you want something you can knock about a bit without worrying about it. I know you said to ignore the price difference, but I'm going to feel a lot better about knocking about a 556 than a Ranger, given the cost outlay. That's the main reason I think. The 556 is also a little smaller and wears better for most people, not that the current Ranger is much bigger.
I personally own the 556A RS so I am biased. That said, Tudor released the current Ranger shortly after I got my Sinn, and I immediately liked it. I've only tried it on once, briefly, and did like it, though I knew it was too similar. Had it been out when I got my Sinn, it would have ben a tougher decision, but I still think the Sinn was the better choice for me. I do like the Ranger a lot though. Truth be told, I don't think you can go too wrong with either. But the Sinn gets my vote, by a small margin.

Tudor Ranger had better lume, better movement, and much better bracelet.
Neither, they both are either a fake Everest hypewatch , or cockpit clock dials.
This is a field watch; as in a watch designed to be issued to soldiers in the "field".

I own the Ranger so I’m biased. But among the watches I own, it easily has one of the best bands in the business.
Close call, but I think that the Sinn is just slightly better than the Ranger. Both are excellent though 👍🏻

I voted for the #sinn 556 because I love the dial so much, no toher more profound detailed reason hahaha
