Experience with Yema automatic watches?

I’m planning on purchasing a Yema Superman GMT maxi dial & I’m really interested to know what was the experience of Yema owners with the overall watch? How their new in-house movement delivered, the build quality etc.

Let’s talk Yema!

I've often been tempted but stories of less than stellar CS always put me off.

I'm sure they're well made watches but the thought of having to deal with someone an ocean away gives me pause.

@Mrbudgetwatch just posted a video review of a different Yema model:

I don't have any personal experience with the brand.

Thanks for the shout out. I really appreciate that

I owned the first yema Superman gmt from 2019. I loved the watch in concept, but in execution is was lacking (and not just by a little). It has moved on and I don’t miss

your experience may vary- but I’m sad to say mine wasn’t a good one

Have read too many accounts of inconsistent build quality and abysmal customer service on the part of Yema for me to buy one.

I guess we’ll find out how my experience with it is, because I’ve pulled the trigger on it 😬🤞🏽

Thanks, this surely helped me gauge my upcoming Yema experience. Hopefully I’ll have not too bad of one. The reviews I’ve seen of the particular model i’ve purchased seems to have good things to say about it. Hoping it’s the same for me🤞🏽

I purchased a Yema Navygraf Maxi Dial last year, which was powered by their in-house YEMA2000 caliber movement. On their website they claim the movement is rate for +/-10 seconds per day. Upon receipt of the watch, I was frustrated to find that it wasn't keeping anywhere near that accuracy, gaining upwards of 25 seconds per day. On top of that, the bezel was misaligned. I complained about this to customer support, but they told me since it falls within their "max variation", this was considered normal and they wouldn't accept a return/repair. Between their poor customer service and substellar movement regulation, I was really soured on the brand.

It sounds like my review comes too late for you, but I highly recommend you inspect the watch carefully once it arrives and put it under a timegrapher. Do not take off the stickers until you are confident it meets your expectations. They will fight you tooth and nail if somethings not right.

Your review surely helped, i still haven’t opened the package & will go through the watch with an eagle eye. Thanks on the tip about not removing the stickers!

I owned the Navygraf for a bit. The movement performance was great, I bought it second-hand and owned it for about 6 months, it always ran within COSC standards.

I didn't experience any Q/C issues with mine, I really enjoyed the design, but it didn't get the wrist time to justify keeping it.

Great wrist shot & thank you for your input.
I got my Yema watch too, I’m thoroughly enjoying it & haven’t had any QC issues either. Looks like Yema cleaned up their act!

It’s alot of watch for the price, GMT,300m water resistance & an in house movement for a 1000$ is a legitimate asking price IMO. 😄

I own a few Yema automatics (Supermen and a GMT) and I've been really pleased with the QC of all three. I've also found their response times good when I've been in touch with the brand. International delivery was also notably lightening fast. I guess not everyone's experience is the same but I thought I'd share my positive interaction with Yema.
