Since we’re doing gifs today…ITS TIME TO GET SHWIFTY!
And is Rolex flexing calling it an ‘oyster flex’ , a flex ?💪
6 degrees and damp here, but screw it, I went spring feeling watch choice as well 👍

I’ve never heard that take on the term Oysterflex before. But I think it’s because it has an inner titanium-nickel alloy that flexes…?

I’m just goofing around Oysters? 🦪. Flexing ?💪
Somewhat not jokey - I wonder why add the internal Ti cables?
Yes, adds strength, but a strap is already stronger than a spring bar, cables or not.
Heaven forbid, but If something hooked onto your watch and yanked on it with enormous force (we will say a steel backstay on a Beneteau ‘42, nothing nefarious!) the spring bar fails before the strap breaks.
I’ve broken spring bars in similar manner 🙄
I know you were mainly joking. The Rolex Oysterflex is an interesting hybrid; it's not merely a strap but referred to as a bracelet, designed to maintain its shape robustly. However, the thought of it catching on something, leading to a spring bar failure, is quite unsettling! I’d be horrified if what happened to you occurred to me. 😳😱😰
