DIY Watch "Repair"

I did this little bit of parts swapping before I thought I might have a place to post a step-by-step post about it. I posted a couple pictures on insta back then but was a bit nervous and concentrated on getting the parts back together!

I was offered a running NH35 in a Invicta Grand Diver case that someone had previously ground away most of the exterior finish. Not having as much knowledge about how widely this movement was employed I sought out another (blue) Grand Diver listed on flea-bay as non-running. To make it as easy as possible for myself I swapped the entire movement complete with (black) dial and hands. While I was at it I ordered a sapphire crystal and a red bezel insert. The blue bezel insert (on the good case) was faded and was replaced with red. The blue dial (and non-running movement) were replaced with the black dial and working movement. The result is a running (and quite large) watch!

The Grand Divers are big, I have a bunch of them. Nice job on the DIY! 👍

This was a couple years ago and I sort of forgot to document it fully.
