Have you ever seen a watch for the first time and thought “Meh” only to find yourself later saying, “Oh no, I think I’ve fallen in love”? Well, that’s my story with the latest FXD. Do any of you have watches that you felt were a “Pass” or “Not my for me” and then next thing you know you’re gaga for?

When I first saw it online I took note but didn't immediately fall in love.
Next time I was in at the boutique the SR bought one on a leather strap over - Again, didn't fall for it.
Then I went in to check out the newest Legend Diver - a watch I did fall for on first sight.
Liked that a lot but then I got the UltraChron + bracelet on wrist.
Bang - done. I left the store 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 that it's my next watch.
Yes, my Quartz Aqua Terra.
Bought it for my Dad, he wore it for a few months then decided it was too expensive and wanted to sell it. I bought it back from him (bless him, he put the money towards a car for my Mrs) and now it's one of my most worn, favourite watches.

Now almost every time I stop at a shop with one of these models I have to try it on.

Spaghetti Scameti. When I first saw the blue Secret Sauce, I wasn't exactly enamoured by it.
But then I saw the two-tone Blackmail Bolognese and I had to have it!

I love the avocado color on this dial.
I actually went into the AD planning on buying the blue version and ended up picking up the black version. The strap was the first thing that had to go.

Yup, strap sucks, stiff as a board, but definitely durable, considering all the yard work I've done with it. 😆

Yea I've heard this. And that it's hard to break in. My guess is that it's almost impossible if you're already yard working with it. But I'm the kind that will get a bunch of straps and would likely see what colors this avocado color could work with.

Some quick changes to give you an idea.
I thought the original blue FXD was ugly and unnecessary, but the Alinghi and Black ones made me totally come around on the line.

Funny thing is that I HATED this style of strap. I bought an Oris Carl Bashear bronze and it came with this style strap. Having never dealt with a marine strap, I was frustrated that I couldn't figure out how to set it up right. After I figured out how to use these, I've been slowly switching out my diver straps to Erikas 😁
