Alarm and world timer complications
How do they stack up against haute horolgy complications? E.g: perpetual calendar, rattrapante, minute repeater… do they in the same league or not?

Never had a non-Casio with an alarm, but I have had a couple of watches with worldtimer functions and still have this one:
And not sure it’s a fair comparison as it’s not a movement complication like the others you mentioned as it’s a matter of fixing a rotating bezel to your watch case, and that probably helps with the fact that you can pick up a mechanical watch with a worldtimer function for a much more affordable price than the others.
I will say that the Worldtimer function is only completely accurate 6 months out of the year due to changes in time brought about by the seasons.
I don’t think so for alarms. They are cool but not in the same league.
My Dads (now my) seiko bellmatic is still pretty cool though..
