Titoni Seascoper 300 Black Edition

As a Southeast Asian watch nerd, the brand Titoni was ingrained in my mind, partly from nostalgia as that watch old uncles and aunties wear.

When I started collecting in 2022, I looked up the brand not expecting much and voila, they came up with the Seascoper 600. I'm intrigued. I learned about the modern day Titoni and their history and I set a goal that I will buy a Titoni watch to grace my watchbox, brag to fellow Asians and mark an important milestone as a watch collector ie, getting my first taste of luxury (yes, I know it barely qualifies but that's how I feel about it, ok?)

So I waited and learned that Titoni is launching the Seascoper 300 line. A workhorse movement (good for my penny pinching Asian side), cheaper compared to the 600 line (see previous line) and looks quite handsome.

After searching I found an LE in mint condition (only 500 made yay!) With quite the discount and I made the plunge. So yeah, here I am with the first significant notch on grails and landmark watches on my belt and bedpost and I am happy as a clam!

Whooo! Here's some pictures to show off. 😛😂

I have a vintage watch of theirs that is a military style hand wound watch. How do you like this and how is the build quality? I have been looking at their modern watches for a while now but haven’t pulled the trigger

The winding is smooth as butter, the brushing on the case is very fine and it's quite comfortable on the wrist! Mind you it's 42mm with a lug to lug of 52mm so if you have a smaller than average wrist you'd be better off looking at Titoni's Heritage line where their sizes are smaller.

Really wish they made a smaller version of the Seascoper.

So do I. A 40mm case with a 47-48mm lug to lug would be awesome. But they still have their older Seascoper 200m. 41mm case diameter. A bit pricey for the specs for me though. Just over the $1000 mark.

BB Ceramic vibes with a far more attractive hand set. I dig it.

Definitely a luxury (or luxury inspiring) brand alright. My wrist was feeling sweaty underneath the band so I decided to swap it with one of those ladder style rubber strap. Lo and behold, the holes for the strap is deep recessed and they don't scallop the case to allow universal bands to not rub against the case. The sharp-ish inner edge. That's some Rolex behaviour alright. So luxury, much wow. 😂🧐

That said, very thin against my wrist. It just lies flat.
