Seiko Ginza

Just got hold of the Ginza limited edition. As a new enthusias, the dial and limited edition played an important part along with the facts such as the size (my wrist is 6 inches) which is only 38. It comes with 70 hour power reserve which is great if you use it for work and means that it will work after the weekend for sure.

I love the dial. It’s insanely good. the bracelet is not as good. Its a bit heavy and its well priced as similar dials by up market brands could take this watch a few fold higher in price.

I am happy after the first week. Looking for a good strap to make it stand out. Suggestions on the watch and possible strap types are welcome

Wow! That is some watch! The dial design almost make the watch seem like an octagonal case! is it reflective?

I’m not going to suggest a black or brown strap - either a suede grey (the matt surface of the strap will make the dial pop more) or a cobalt blue (slicone) for the summer (may accent the seconds hand too). Congratulations on your purchase - enjoy it in good health!

Soooooooo jealous.  I asked about one from a dealer almost immediately after they were announced.  He said they were immediately sold out, and no way to get one.  😢

Maaaan I love the Ginza Alpinist, but all the ones I’ve seen for sale are going for silly money.

The crystal does reflect. Its domed and the reflection starts after 45+ degrees. Its not bad. Its pretty nice. The dial looks brilliant in sunlight during the day time and especially in car while travelling. The tiles in tbe dial has 3 colors based on light and does give an illusion of an octagonal case at times.

I bought it second hand and in pristine condition. The original owner sold it at 50 dollar over market price. He sold it because it was a bit small for his wrist. Its available on ebay

I was thinking the same for straps. Whats a good place to look for straps in Asia. I am from Dhaka. I love delugs straps but that will set me back a hundred dollar. Looking for something  less than that.

I really dont understand the market. Some watches cost more than houses. Some peoples watch collections are worth more than an entire eurorean village. In my view, it is worth a 1000 dollar and is worth that much. Its retail was 735 usd

That dial 😍

Sorry meant to add more, but just had to gush first. The look of the dial seems really big, looks like it would be well over 40mm. And yes, the dial design makes it feel octagonal vs round. Seiko has such amazing dial designs. Wish this one wasnt so limited or marked up on 2nd market, or I'd be all over it.

Thank you. The dial is really nice. The watch wears well. For a small dial they have done a grand seiko-ish job

Funky dial, really unique.  Even among Seiko it stands out!
