No such thing as out of hand. Just categorize them and make sure they each get some wrist time. Each case holds eight watches flat. The black case holds ten watches in the conventional way and is reserved for the watches with bands/straps that will not lay flat. The glass top case is for my Eco-Drives so I can place the whole lot in the sun from time to time.

The love of watches added to the high you get from Ebay. And yes it is a high, the bidding, the losing, the winning. It gets addictive. Then hitting all the antique stores, flea markets, pawn shops, watch repair stores. Hell I hit every army surplus store in an 80 mile radius looking for a strap for my A17. Now that makes me feel better, I’ve only got two 12 slot boxes & was getting worried as I read about people “turning over” their watches,doesn’t make sense to me unless you really make a buying mistake.Your rationale is how I think but you are better organised.

Belt-n-braces reply has it right I think. I often think I’m getting too many (up to 20 now) but I have an attachment to each watch & there’s only one which I’m considering moving on.

That watch looked great on wrist in the store but in natural light it just doesn’t look right to me.

Don’t over think it, if you can afford it enjoy it & follow b&b’s advice.

I have watches that I wear in the morning, watches I wear to work, watches I wear out on the town, watches I wear on the weekends. Dress, work, lounging, beaters.....they all have a purpose and all get wrist time. I just can't say "No" to any watch. The only reason I don't have 150 watches is the jerks who outbid me on Ebay.

Honest question, how do you close the case without them clashing into each other dinging up the cases and scratching the AR coating? Do you have a foam divider?

That's just one case. The top piece lays flat ( smooth side down ) on the bottom piece. No watches touch. I have two cases that hold 42 a piece. And several small 3 watch cases.

And here I thought it was just me, happy to meet another addict
