Casio A-168 modding

Got my pre-owned A-168 and the kit from SKKMOD. Pics coming in a separate post. I bought the mod faceplate so I can complete the case change. But isn't therea way to detach the original faceplate? Is it glued? Not friction fit anyway as I've tried that.

I really like the looks of the original an would really like to use it without completely destroying it.

Btw, it's a tiny watch. The camera makes it look bigger. Nit that I mind but watching YT reviews I got the impression that it was bigger.

I don't have experience with this exact model, but I've seen a few where the "faceplate" is actually a printing under the mineral crystal. So there is no way to transplant this.

If you're talking about the crystal, you have to push it out from the inside. Takes considerable force but it can be done.

I won't keep the resin case anyway. Will give it a try.
