So after gushing about my year-long love affair with my Omega SMP (See here: https://www.watchcrunch.com/SuperDario/posts/12-months-with-omega-seamaster-diver-300m-190604 ) I decided I needed another F91w for really dirty and heavy work.
But Dario, don't you already have an F91w as seen in numerous WRUW posts?
Well yes, I did, but my Brother-in-law was travelling recently and his Skagen battery had died, leaked, and was damaged beyond repair. He asked if I could lend him a watch, so the F91w was duly pressed into his service. He likes it quite a lot, so I let him keep it. He has since bought a Seiko Samurai, so nice little collection there!
Anyway, I thought this would be an opportunity to by another F91w, maybe in a different colour? Or some rare variant?
I ended up with this;
Casio W-86-1VQES.
Spec-wise, I think this blows the F91w out of the park.
50m water resistant, LED backlight, cool 'teal' details (teal is in right?), slightly chunkier than the F91w and a more interesting strap. All for £16.00 ($20) at my local Argos.
Im very impressed so far, it wears great. Fits right in the collection!

I am currently looking at a F-105W and a W-59, but that W-86 is looking really good and it's also an illuminator.
That watch a turquoise NATO would be perfect!
Those are hot watches too those are consider mini beaters too.
Bit late to the party but the W86 is a great beater!
