Milestone Birthday

2024 is the year I hit the big 50! Using the watches that you see in this box as reference I would love to see your recommendations for watches I should contemplate buying for myself in order to mark this milestone. You have a maximum budget of 1000€/$/£

Seiko King Turtle "Save the Oceans" Edition.

Are they all sized at 45mm? If so, it's a bit large for my taste. Anything between 36 - 42mm?

I was actually looking on the birth year watches UK website this morning 👍😀

Birth year Omega 🥳

Within budget, characterful, possibly an investment and not just another bland modern watch. 👍🏻

Hamilton Khaki Expedition 37mm

(Almost) welcome to the club :) Reached that milestone this year. And yes, bought a watch to commemorate :-)

Looking at your box, I’d say you can use something blue, whilst remaining on the sporty side. Three possible candidates just under the 1k mark:

According to the website:

The case is 42.4mm in diameter and 13.4mm in height, with a lug-to-lug of 49.4mm – which is nuanced though, as the case is well designed and makes for a rather comfortable fit.

In reality, they wear smaller just like your Pagani Design GMT in dimensions because everything is sloped down the sides and the lugs curve round your wrist. The longer lug-to-lug measurement comes from the male end links, but if you get one on a rubber strap, it's even smaller. Try one on in real life first though because you might like the King Samurai version even more.
