My wife’s birthday is coming up so I thought I’d post her 3 watch collection that I curated for her over the years.
Apple Watch Series 3 - the one pictured is my Series 1 as she wore hers today. This is her most worn watch, despite my best efforts. Got this for her years ago and it’s still working. She likes the notifications and activity tracking. Need to find a replacement for this.
Tissot Chemin de Tourelles - this was her Mother’s Day present this year. She has small wrists so the small dial fit her well. This is her watch for dressy occasions or client meals.
Nomos Club Campus - this was her promotion milestone celebration present last year after making Director level. She worked really hard and went through a layoff during the dark times. This was her first mechanical watch so she’s not used to having to wind a watch.
Any thoughts on where to take her collection next? I’m asking so I want your opinion. Budget is up to $1500. Her wrists are small, so I don’t want to see any Invictas or divers here. 🤣

Paging #long_johns @SpecKTator ....oh yea wait NVM..🤔😅😉😁
So it is a diver yes, but the Tissot Seastar Q in all white? Very wearable, functional and no winding?
Eventually Lorier should be relaxing the Astra too?
The Tissot is incredibly thin, and the white on white is surprisingly well done. Very hard to capture in photos.
The wife wasn't sold on a dive style watch until she tried this on.
Now she has added to the collection with a surprisingly big watch, the Seiko Series 5kx, go figure? She picked it out...🤷🏻
I don’t know. That’s all I got.
Maybe something vintage? Seamaster?
The club campus's looking good

Ok SolidLongJohnYetti, I see you🤣
I know I said no divers but that’s a nice one.
I see some little fingers up in there too so is that BabYetti?

Not bad with color and Hamilton is a sweet selection

If I get her a Seamaster I’ll need to get myself one too. Not sure I can do that under budget.

Yup! And like the name...👌🏻🤘🏻 Well played.
She is usually our third wheel on days off coffee dates. 😉
Back on topic, @Kalsota with the hammy was gonna be my second pick.
What about the Baltic HMS/MR01 or the upcoming Lorier Astra?
Out of left field, but WMT x Labeg 32mm playful stuff?
Two more. These guys are one of the older, OG, mil issue microbrands. Their offering for ladies is pretty 👌🏻. It is 38mm but the black DLC with MOP dial would wear small due to the color.
Finally Elliot Brown

The also have some different colors and variations.
There’s a few quartz models that might be of interest.

Good man. Enjoy the kids while they’re still small.
The Hammy is nice. I’ve looked at the Baltic quite a bit. Haven’t seen the upcoming Astra. I’ll take a look at that.
Definitely have not heard of the WMT. Not sure if she’s into a Daytona style chronograph

The Tissot I got her has a MOP inner dial. I’ll tread some other territory before coming back to it. Never even heard of Elliot Brown. I’ve been living too long in Seiko town.

The Ardmore 👍

And way under budget. Win!

More budget for me then 🤣

Lol…well you didn’t say this would be 2 purchases at $1500…what about a diver? Tissot Seastar?
Got my sister a solid gold '60s Ladymatic Omega for under £500 there's low demand for vintage ladies watches,so you can pick up some bargains...it'd also leave you a very healthy budget for a vintage, serviced Seamaster for yourself....
Or a Used Quartz Cartier. Within budget, easy to use quartz and a prestigious name on the dial that ladies recognise & like. Got my Mrs one and she loves it.
Would she be into something more casual?

If she is into the set it and forget it kinda watch this may be a good one too.
Small, elegant with a bit of color
Or how about Made in USA

Maybe don't get on the bus out of Seiko town just yet. There are still some of the old school Seiko 5s (the little ones) to be had with their beautiful little dials. Any number of them would look good on a woman's wrist. And for not much $$$, an added bonus.
