I was packing up the latest pile of donations to our local thrift store and I was shocked and appalled to see watches amongst the home goods meant for a new home. I lept into action and rescued these two watches, an Orient and a Kate Spade. I swear they’re my wife’s watches. Makes me wonder what other secrets she is hiding from me but that’s a mystery to solve at another time.

After grilling her about why these were being donated, I shook my head and adopted them at least for the next few months for regifting to my 11 year old, as her middle school promotion gift. She can choose between the quartz fashion watch or an automatic from a reputable brand.
