If my friends here on WatchCrunch don't know me by now, you will never, never know me. 😂 Pun reference intended. If you don't know me my name is Shane, aka Shbamn50. When it comes to watches I like to be different. I don't like to get watches that everyone under the sun has. I have some that I have seen on the Crunch but not many.
Being different led me to this.
American made Hook + Gaff field watch. I have been looking for a field watch to wear during the summer while I work outdoors. I work outdoors at my friend's restaurant every morning and at home. I wanted something with a screwdown crown to the left of the case. I bought something a while back and that didn't work. It had the water resistance of a moth in a rain storm. Why to the left? The work I do has me bending my wrist backwards and the crown digs into the back of my hand. This took care of the crown issue. Screwdown with 200 meters of liquid resistance.
It has a Swiss Ronda movement so if something happens its easy to fix. That was a plus. If something happens I can fix it myself.
It came with this nice solid case, stickers for my hooptie's (work suv) back window, and a springbar tool.
This watch wears comfortably on the wrist and slides under the sleeve easily. My only complaint is the Italian rubber strap/bracelet. It has to be cut to fit. I don't like the idea of cutting it. Luckily I have a 7 1/2" wrist so I did. If I were to sell it later on down the road it could be a deal killer. I would probably end up giving it to my son who is a lefty anyways.
I have been collecting watches for a while now. I have so many watches that I wear a different one every day. Cheap to expensive, if I like how it looks I wear it.

I’m a lefty and wear a watch on my right wrist exclusively. Having the crown this way is superior. This is a pretty cool watch too! I like the color.
