Ok going to ask a simple question. I seen this watch the other day and fell for it. I am a newbie regarding watches but even at this price range due to sentimental reasons got to get this right. You're opinions or options would be very much appreciated. https://www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/0135188/TAG-Heuer-Aquaracer-Stainless-Steel-Blue-Quartz-Mens-Watch/p?gclid=CjwKCAjwkNOpBhBEEiwAb3MvvbhbUlRQ0wEMfN5zgACpi073e8zAjmlL753OUtHRxhr3C8FKD-LGLRoCEdsQAvD_BwE

At this price point your getting perilously close to Longines and Tudor territory; both of which I would probably recommend over Tag Heuer

Thank you can you tell me why?
Mmm no, i love Tag Heuer, i love Aquaracer but not in quartz 🤔 for that price you can get a better watch
I pay more less that for this automatic chrono

What watch is that?
Can you tell me why you don't like the Quartz?
If you're going to get it I would try here first to check if they have it in stock.

edit - I wouldn't go near this seller, too many red flags.

Wow thank you so much Tiffer.

It is another Tag Heuer Aquaracer but mechanical Automatic caliber 16 base Sellita SW500, the quartz is very basic, it should not cost more than 1000 dollars for that caliber
Wow thank you so much Tiffer.
No problem but please do your due diligence as they don't appear to have sold more than 1 watch on Chrono24.
They do have an Insta profile at https://www.instagram.com/suite_nine_london/
Can I add this is a purchase in memory of my late mother who passed earlier this year. So I sort of have to get this right. I hope you all understand my concern in getting this right.

That is a lovely watch. How much and where from?
Mechanical watches with automatic movements are preferred by most people over quartz. It honors the tradition of watchmaking, and most relevant for you, mechanical watches hold their value way better. If a quartz watch is what you like then go with it! But since you asked, I agree that a Longines or Tudor sound like a better plan. A Tudor Black Bay could be an heirloom one day, a quartz Tag is just a watch.

The Tudor is out of my price range. 😢

I hear you, and I wasn’t trying to upsell you. Depending on the exact model, you can find a BB on the used market for $3k. Based of the OP, you were looking at $2700 already. At any rate, don’t let any of us talk you out of something. Buy what makes you happy!
If you want that specific watch, buy it! While true that Longines and Tudor have models that are around the same price, to be honest none have the same look. It is all a matter of taste. Mechanical watches are preferred by enthusiasts and may be more long lasting but require more maintenance.
I'd want the polarizing TAG link bracelet myself. I'm mainly here to chide people that TAG is an acronym and should be capitalized.

Sorry you have lost me 😕
I can't imagine spending so much on a quartz watch. My most expensive is £300, above that they're all mechanical.

TAG link is one of the defining model ranges to be sure. My problem with it is that you can't (easily) swap it for a strap.

I'm in Mexico, sorry I'm not selling it just I show so that you know the Mechanical Aquaracer, you should look for it in Chrono 24
I am a Tag lover. I have 4 and have never had any issue. You should be able to get a hefty discount (15-20% or more) from the AD. You can also get some really good deals on used models. Quartz models are usually cheaper than automatics, but wether one is better than another is more a preference than anything. Bottom line, buy what you like.
looking at Longines also now
Sorry you have lost me 😕
There is a distinctive bracelet some TAG's use that some people hate and consider dated, but I like it as it is different and identifiable.
TAG stands for Techniques d'Avant Garde and thus should be capitalized.
Thank you can you tell me why?
I have a 15 year old quartz aquaracer.Runs well,&I like the way it looks.
That is such a nice watch!!
I'd have a look at Oris too.
I have a quartz Aquaracer...
I paid £800 for it. I don't think I'd pay £2300 for a quartz movement.
Sorry for the late update. I did indeed go for the Quartz Aqua racer as taking my time and asking questions it was the best option for me. It ticks all the boxes has a Swiss Quartz movement and IMO is just drop dead gorgeous.
