A cut end from a stairs hand rail, a piece of left over door frame, not sure where the dowel came from originally and a couple of coats of varnish that I bought for another project. I had nearly enough to make another one but the hand rail piece was just too short.
I‘ve got somewhere now to leave my watch during the night, before I decide whether I wear it again or swap it for one in the box in the morning.

No. It’s smooth, got a varnish coating & the way I handle my watches you’d think they were delicate porcelain 😂
