My first digital watch & first Casio!

So by sheer good luck, when I was looking for Seiko parts (for a rebuild project I'm doing over time) on eBay, one of those semi-related recommendations showed up. It happened to be this watch being sold for $15! Having wanted a Casio, but never been willing to cough up the $40 they demand at the mall, I snagged it right away!

I'm glad I did! This A168, while not in perfect condition (though close), punches so above its weight for the price. And speaking of weight, thanks to its slim plastic case & thin (yet stylish IMO) bracelet, you can hardly feel it. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's also my first watch on a bracelet & by even more good luck (and sheer coincidence), the clasp was set to just my wrist size by the seller!

What I'm most "Wowed!" by is all the functionality in this little thing! I've never worn a digital watch before, so I was super stunned by just how much you could do! You get 12/24hr time, day, & date just on the "homescreen" - which lights up btw AND a stopwatch & timer? I feel spoiled! Especially for less than $50!

I've had this watch for about a week now and worn it almost every day so far. I even wore it to the opera my class went to on Sunday. All I gotta say is, Casio's won me over! Between style, functionality, and cost, I hope to get another in the future. Preferably an LF-20, thanks to it's world-time feature in what I think is a nicer/slimmer package than the AE1200. Maybe I could get a case for that milled out of metal... But that's a project for another time!

It's like the Hotel California, you can check out any time you like, but once you're there, you can never leave!
