Watch hubs in SINGAPORE?

I'm taking my family to visit Universal Studios Singapore this weekend. As a side trip, i was hoping to end up in a street or mall where most watch brands have shops at. Does such a place exist in Singapore? I would love to window shop there as well as try on the Longines spirit zulu and Tag Heuer glassbox carrera if they are right for me. Hoping to get a souvenir watch at around 6,000 usd and below price range.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions. ☺️

Enjoy Singapore, it's one of the places I've enjoyed the most while traveling. Check out Gardens By The Bay if you get a chance. No watches, but amazing gardens.

Thank you for that suggestion. Will check it out for sure. The wife likes gardens. 😊

The Hour Glass and many Watch boutiques are around Orchard Road, there is one right by the Marriott Hotel at the major intersection (Tong Building)

You are a legend! Thank you 🫡

Marina Bay Sands has a ton of watch boutiques in a row, which is right next to gardens by the bay. They have tag and Longines there.

The tag boutique in Ion mall in orchard road has the glass box and the skipper too! Just tried it on yesterday.

Visit Far East Plaza @Scotts Road (alight at Orchard Mrt) if you are into pre-owned designer and vintage timepieces. When I'm stressed, my partner and I will go window shopping. With that spending limit, you might likely be able to find one really cool watch. I hope I may be of assistance and that you enjoy your time in Singapore. 😊

I almost forgot you can visit "Watch Exchange." It is one of the largest watch stores in the Far East Plaza shopping center and is located on the third floor (near the escalator) you won’t miss it. Enjoy your visit here in Singapore. 😊

Thank you again. I will look for it when I arrive 😊

I'm not sure if you like microbrands but there is Vario in SG which has some of the best looking vintage watches. I don't think they have a store, but they will ship it in a day or two. It's quicker than buying from home location.

Checkout - Vario.sg

Thanks for the suggestions. My only "microbrand" is a christopher ward c60 tide. I try to stay more on the recognizeable brands for easier service centers, warranties, and of course brand recognition. 😊

Do check out the watches in the airport itself. It should be tax free and offer deeper discount

Good idea. I was under the assumption that the watches for sale at the airport would be for outgoing passengers leaving singapore? In which case, i wouldnt be able to access them until it's time to head home?

·

Transiting through Singapore right now. Orchard street is filled with watch boutiques and ADs. I visited hourglass and even got a Sinn 556 MoP as a souvenir watch.

I believe the arrival and departure hall are the same area, but they request for your departure ticket when you purchase.

So you can't purchase on arrival.

Ahhh thank you for that information. In that case i will definitely try to swing by the watch stores at the airport before leaving for the hotel. 😊

Oh they have the black dial one as well, but I didn't try it on. Go for it and ask for a discount!

I definitely will 😁 thank you again

After browsing the watches at Far East Plaza, grab a plate of Chicken Rice from Hainanese Delicacy to recharge! Last time I was there, saw many Rolex, AP and Patek pieces.

What this gentleman said! 👆🏼

It's basically a "watch alley" in Marina Bay Sands (MBS).

In this Alley you will find:

JLC

Zenith

Omega

IWC

Tag Heuer

Grand Seiko

VC

AP

PP

Longines

Tissot

Breguet

Blancpain

(I think I'm missing a few?)

If you walk around MBS, you'll also find Cartier, Brietling, Panerai, Hublot, Bvlgari and others I think.

A lot of watch brands concentrated in one place.

·

I would go check out the duty free watch stores at the airport. Then head to Orchard Road. All the malls have every major brand you can think of. Then head over to Far East Plaza to check out the second hand stores.

Thank you. We fly out tomorrow early morning...weather permitting. Aparantly we have a tropical storm that just arrived today (Philippines) 😄

·

First stop Watches Of Switzerland. Unfortunately the tag glassbox and longines zulu 39 was not available there. Nice display of watches though. They had some nice Sinns and Grand Seikos.

Got to see a Seiko store in Vivo mall today, but we were on our way to Sentosa for Universal Studios and did not get to look through the whole mall. Hopefully tomorrow i will have lots of time to visit more watch stores

The Hour Glass and Watches of Switzerland in Vivo City Mall were already closed by the time we got back from Universal Studios a few minutes past 9pm. So unfortunate. Hopefully will get to see a bunch of watch places today when we wall around Marina Bay Sands.

I think the Tag Heuer Glassbox is a boutique exclusive. There should be a Tag boutique at MBS if you're heading there!

Here's a pic to whet your appetite!
