I’m fairly new to the watch collecting hobby, but I’m always interested in acquiring something new to grow my collection. I’m also happy to get to know any watch fans that might be about in the Edinburgh or Glasgow areas of Scotland
Has anyone got any experience with REC Watches? I think some of their designs are great and the connections to different cars and aircraft seems like...

I find if all I do is look online it is too easy to add to an ever growing list of watches that I 'want'. Press shots can make almost any watch look good, but until I have it on your wrist I can't tell if it's right for me.
I have poured over the Cartier website many times but I am yet to find a watch of theirs that feels 'right' on my wrist after trying many of them on.
With all the excitement this week I've already added the Oris Kermit ProPilot X and the IWC Ingenieur to my list of wants. The Patek Calatrava with blue accents would also be nice to add but I don't see myself ever spending that much on a watch.
That green looks amazing, but I would need to see how vivid it is in reality. I have the same watch in Blue and in certain light it looks almost entirely black.
I love it, and I think it’s one of the better looking special editions too. The only ones that top it for me would be the Silver Snoopy and the Alaska Project but I don’t see myself getting my hands on either of those!
The Zenith looks great, I’ve also been looking at the Defy 21, if just for that 1/100th chronograph action!
The sunburst is really nice, very subtle, I wouldn’t say it extends all the way to the numerals like the stock photo suggests, in most lighting conditions it looks like it makes it to about as far as the inner ring on the dial, which makes the numerals look like they are on solid black so they really pop.
The large also doesn’t feel as big as the name suggests, I think because the whole case has a slight curve to it, so it sits really nicely on the wrist. I also tried on the medium and it almost seemed too small, although I am a fan of bigger watches in most cases.
Looks like we have similar tastes! I would love to have a Zenith El Primero, also a big a fan of the VC 1921, and just picked up a Santos with the blue dial today! the Blue isn’t quite as strong as the pictures make out but it’s still a beautiful watch.
Love that dial colour, from the pictures it gets pretty close to something like the Tiffany & Co Nautilus 5711 or similarly coloured Oyster Perpetual. How does it look in person? Could be a good pickup for getting close to the Nautilus and Oyster Perpetual but without the insane prices those two go for
The status of my watch collection - 5 and counting!
I’ve always been interested in watches, for as long as I can remember, but it is only recently that I began to get into watch collecting seriously and...
