Good strap (wrong size) for my Vostok Amphibian
I recently bought some natos in 20mm and this strap green strap in 20mm too.
My Vostok has a 18mm lug width but the precedent strap was really ugly, so I change for this paratrooper strap even it is a 20mm. Personally I didn't see the difference although there is a difference of 2mm.
What do you think (in general) about compatibility between the strap size and the lug width.

I think you can get away with it on some fabrics. I dont have a pic, but I was using a 22mm nato on my 20mm lug franken-Fortis out of necessity and never saw the need to change it. Your green strap looks snug, but not ridiculous so if it’s comfy then keep it.
+1 for Marina Militaire straps, so comfortable.

I put 22mm NATO's and paratrooper's regularly on 20mm lugged watches. To me that little bit of extra width on the strap suits my larger watches and it's hardly, if at all noticeable that it's not the correct size. I guess if the wearer likes it that's the main thing.
As long as it's comfy and better looking, why not. (I have a leather suede 20 on 18 lug)

I think it's particularly easy to make this with the paratrooper straps. these are very flexible. I tried with a nato and it didn't work. Nice vintage khaki by the way.

nice watch and I think nobody have the same strap than you. It seems very comfortable on the wrist.
