first bronze watch Boderry

I recently bought this watch.

My first bronze watch. Here's my review of it...

some caracteristics :

40mm diameter

20mm lug with

12, 5mm thickeness

screw down crown

unidirectional bezel (pretty good)

saphir crystal

I wanted a cheap bronze watch. At first I did not care of the design. So my first option was a Tandorio.

But I saw a review of the Boderry bronze (no limited edition). I watch their site to search if they have other variant of this model because I realy don't like the dial.

Then I found this sea turtle limited édition (150 pieces), furthermore it was at the same price (~150 €).

I'm not like many watch enthousiastes who hate limited edition. I think it's realy cool to have a watch and know that only few people have the same. Moreover, if the price is the same as the no limited edition. So I bought it.

What about the watch now :

I was impressed by how the case was shine, despite the brushed finitions. The shape of the case stills too simple in my taste.

The details on the dial are good. The sea turtle painted on it makes the watch perfect for summer.

The harrow hands are good but we see that is not luxury finitions.

The brown fake leather bracelet is very thick. Personnaly, I just don't like brown leather strap on a bronze watch. So I change it to a Nato.

The case back is beautifuly engraved of a sea turtle.

The movement is a automatic myota 8215. I think it is a simple good movement, especialy for the price of the watch.

On their website Boderry said the sea turtle is a way to remenber to protect the sea from pollution. I personnaly never saw such obvious green washing. It is a cheap chinese brand so I doubt they have enough money to have ecological practices. This marketing point is not bad, I just don't pay attention to it because I think it is a little bit hypocrite.

Conclusion : it is a good watch FOR THE PRICE.

I tend realy like the original patina (clean and shiny) but I also want to see how could be the futur patina.
