My new today Smiths Everest Expedition!

Been trying for quite some time to catch one of these available at their store openings. Finally got in last Sunday and got this one ordered and it got here today. Would have to say I am beyond happy with it so far. The case finishing and bracelet are of excellent quality. The appearance of the dial is perfect and the box crystal looks great. It’s my first try at a 36 mm watch in years and so far I really like it on wrist.

Been a fan of 36 mm for a few years now. This looks perfectly suited on your wrist. Congrats. Is it available online?

They open their store on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm London time about every 4-6 weeks and the store is open until they sell out or sell 200 watches. This particular watch sold out in about 15 minutes last Sunday. You can get on their website and sign up to get email alerts for store openings and the availability of various models. Their shipping is crazy quick and I’m really impressed with the quality of the watch.

Timefactors.com is the website.

Forgot to mention one of the most important details. The lugs are drilled! 😎

A fantastic watch! 😎

I love mine! Total strap monster too.

I've got the PRS25. I was shocked at how nice the finishing was and the raised crystal and the bracelet. Great package for the cost

The only negative I’ve really found is some sharp edges on the clasp. I’ll probably disassemble it and take a 1000 grit polishing stick to it.

Manuallly? Isn’t that a bit risky?

Not really, 1000 grit is so fine you would have to try to leave a visible mark. All I will do is lightly touch the edges to dull the sharp edge. Probably come back after the 1000 with 2500 and then 5000. Should be able to duplicate a factory edge.

I got the itch for a versatile yet rugged everyday watch since quite some time too. Considered these Smith's from timefactors at one point, but I don't like the idea of the website being open only for a couple of minutes. And since I always hear "buy the seller not the product" I also don't feel too comfortable with timefactors' customer service that has a rather poor reputation, also here on WC.

So I decided to feed the itch by going with a Dryden Heartlander.

It's a bit more expensive than the Smith's, but not by much. And since it's assembled and regulated in the US there's definitely value in there.

The "vintage polar" version goes the same route from a design standpoint as the Smith's Everest Expedition. Maybe a good alternative if you can't or don't want to get the Smith's.

Thanks for the rabbit hole! I didn’t know about Dryden, although they wouldn’t have scratched my 36mm itch for this watch, but I am really liking this from their website.

There are rabbit holes everywhere in this hobby, and that's the problem and part of the enjoyment at the same time. 😀

I like their divers too, these new colors and that texture on the dial look fantastic indeed. I think Dryden are an interesting US microbrand in general and their prices are actually not bad. I really had to get one of these Heartlanders, for my likings they created a great offering with that watch.
