I can forgive many things, because there is no 100% perfect watch, that's why we always have a new grail.
BUT...I can't ignore a bad bracelet/strap. Because it is always on my wrist, the whole day and it would remind me aöl the time how stupid I was to spend money on that sh...t.
For example:
I really love the Tissot Gentleman. I was about to buy it. So excisted. The look only warmes my hard...then...finall time to try on....and...wtf..."what's wrong with the bracelet?", "Sir? İt's all fine." , "But why does it feel like crap?"
I was litterally hanging there around for 10 Min. with the watch on my wrist, because I couldn't realize and accept that a 150 years old high reputated company like Tissot makes such a bad bracelet. So I left with the Titanium Quartz version as my secomd choise which is really comfortable by the way. But it still hurts. 💔
Same with a beautiful Zeppelin watch. It hat just mineral christal. Not good but ok. But...the leather strap felt like cardboard. I left it on the desk.
If you buy a cheap watch for few bucks it's easy to swap the bracelet/leather. But I can't accept it from experienced traditionall watch brands.
Poor quality control hands downs. If I'm buying a watch, I expect the bezel, indices, numbers and hands to align. If they do not, then the watch should never have left the factory.

Seiko nails three out of four with many models.

Easy to replace a bad bracelet or strap (at least in the price point I'm currently shopping in)
There are drawbacks to sapphire and benefits to polycarbonite
Weird lug width, not a big deal as making it a "normal" width can throw off proportions
QC issues with the watch head itself is my choice
