Strapcode/Miltat Bracelets, the Hype is Real!

I've bough my first Strapcode/Miltat bracelet to fit my Seiko Mini Turtle. Really impressed with the quality - but more importantly, the way it fits the case. You can't just whack a regular bracelet on the Mini Turtle because of its stepped-lug/caseback design, but I was super keen to wear it on a bracelet. It cost me £65. Solid end links, tons of screw adjustment links, lots of micro adjustments in its milled clasp. Great all around. From a budget watch perspective (per most of my collection) £65 for a bracelet is "expensive". But given that it will allow/encourage me to wear it more often - and because my Mini Turtle is a watch I plan to keep around - I think it's a worthwhile investment!

I think Strapcode makes some great bracelets though I do wish they would make a few with female endlinks & downsize their clasps just a tad. Uncle (formerly uncle seiko) also make a bracelet for the mini turtle in a “beads of rice“ configuration if you ever feel like trying something different.

Very good choice, I mainly fit straps from this brand on my Seiko watches (but some models can be fitted on other brands including Hamilton for example). The prices are however quite high, especially if you have to pay the possible customs tax. The ideal is to buy one of these bracelets from a merchant in your country of origin, preferably on sale. But you also have the Monstraps brand which provides a Hexad style bracelet for Samurai. And other brands that I don't know. 👍

Ah good to know, I'll keep that brand in mind. I actually bought it new from someone in the UK on eBay.

I’ve been eyeing this watch for a while now and I was thinking of doing the exact same thing, but was worried about a good bracelet. Fits awesome. Looks even better. Nice 👍🏼

Cheers! Feel free to inbox me with any questions/picture requests for it, happy to oblige. Detailed info on specific purchases can be hard to come by haha.

I have owned two strapcodes and have been very impressed with both.
One for my Samurai the other for my SKX009

I have this exact same combination--PADI mini turtle, strapcode endmill bracelet. I love the way it looks and feels.

My only complaint is the weight. Even sized for my tiny wrist, the watch + bracelet weighs in at 152 grams. Maybe I'm spoiled by my other small watches, but this one always makes its presence known when on the wrist.

Otherwise, great watch and bracelet!

I have two Miltat bracelets

one is an oyster type which I use on my Alpinist the other is an Angus jubilee which I also use on the Sarb017 but because it has male end links adds about 5mm to the lug to lug which is a shame as it spoils the fit. Good quality though and engineered precisio.

Looks fantastic - always a worthwhile investment in a good bracelet.

I’ve used Uncle Seiko’s UK site recently and I’m very happy with their bracelet - in my case I wanted more sizing adjustability than my existing strap.

Hi! Came across this post while researching MilTAT bracelet.

Some background info before asking my questions, I just bought a seiko SEPD79 and want to add a braclet to it. I found a black (both jubilee & oyster) bracelet from MilTAT and very interested in buying one.

Upon my research, other than the type of bracelet, one other difference the oyster and jubilee style from MilTAT is that the oyster has male endlink, which add a bit more to the watch lug to lug. So my question is, how much more lug to lug added with the endlink on the watch?

I only really learned about what male end links where until after I bought my milat bracelet - and I started panicking a little. Expecially considering I have tiny 6 inch wrists. Anyway, I shouldn't have worried. The male end links point downwards, so it's almost like they don't exist. They naturally follow the contour of my wrist, so effectively act like regular female end links. If they were to stick out straight, sure, they would add extra lug to lug dimensions. But in this case, it really doesn't effect wearability whatsoever. If anything, it improves it and the fixed curvature of the end links matches the Mini Turtle's curved cushion case. Mathematically I'm unsure how much it "adds" exactly, but I'd argue that the way it fits, that's irrelevant. Hope that helps 🙂

Thank you for the reply! And yes, It does help me making the decision to buy it. Cheers! 🍻
