Junghans Meister Signature

I wonder why this wonderful watch doesn't get more attention. A truly historical movement is installed here, the watch case is inconspicuous and very easy to wear. The price is also surprisingly good for an 18k gold watch. I wonder if I'm missing comparable watches. Can you think of any watches that I should take a look at in comparison?

That style reminds me of Grand Seiko. Beautiful watch! 👍

That is gorgeous! In that realm a vintage King Seiko or a vintage Omega Constellation are great mid-century dress watches.

Yes round about

The thing is that the movement isn‘t worthy of a 8.5k watch and the gold doesn‘t make up for it either… It‘s beautiful though!

You can get an IWC from the 60s like this one I have for example with a nicer movement ( Cal. 89 in this one ), also in 18k gold for 1500.- and that really makes it hard for people justifying 8.5 grand I think… gold isn‘t as expensive as people think, especially on watches because it‘s not really a lot of actual gold weight.

I still think it‘s a stunning watch though, don‘t get me wrong!

Hot damn. Look at that. As far as Junghans, I like the Max Bill, but that is a looker.

Limited to 160 pcs., might also add to the price a bit. In general though, some of the newer Meister watches are really great. But even better in real life. I was at a Junghans AD the other week and was just browsing around. The lady then showed me a Meister she had on the back and I was really blown away I have to say....

The indices are engraved, looks really cool in person. I feel Junghans is upping their game if late
