I gave in to imaginary peer pressure...

After watching far too many YouTube reviews it felt as if you couldn't consider yourself a true Casio collector without owning one of these. So somewhat reluctantly last night I gave in and bought the Casio AE-1200W or 'Casio Royale'. Much nicer on wrist than the Amazon pictures suggested. Itch scratched and I remain happily surprised at how many of these sub-£30 Casio's I continue to find something to love about.

The "Royale' is an important part of way more than just Casio collectors. You might also like the slightly more expensive MDV 106 Duro and it's many variations.

Had the 'Batman' Duro arrive from the US earlier this week (it was in my first ever WC post), I've been very pleased with it so far.

The basic Casio Royale is for the diehard collectors and for me it is my day watch.

Welcome to the ae1200 club. The modding scene is fairly big with these and though I haven't  done any of them myself, I am eyeing up adding films and swapping for negative displays soon!
