A beefy 33mm today. I got this around the same time as the Aero Atlanta, so technically the last watch from 2023, is this 1960s Walker & Hall jobber. I believe Walker & Hall are a NZ-based jeweller, so that’s interesting (to me). It’s probably rocking an AS automatic 21J movement, but I’ve not needed to pop the back as it seems to be working fine, and I’m not going to pop watch-backs for nothing anymore, it’s not like anyone else cares. I think this cost £30 in total, and it needed a good few goes with Polywatch to get it looking this legible. Bit of a basic bitch, but it’s interesting enough to consider, and is definitely a good value Swiss made watch.

Very clean and simple dial! I have a few mystery watches that I very limited information about. It lends them a bit of mystery! Enjoy the fact that you're the only one at the party with that treasure on your wrist 😊

If you want a hand trying to solve the mysteries feel free to drop me a line 😉

It looks great, Chris. I'm thinking 33mm is pretty oversized for you, lately. I know what you mean about the Polywatch.. I'm still rubbing away on my latest 🤓

Sub-34mm is essentially my vintage playground. 32-33mm is a standard size for two decades in days of yore, and I have a number of them. I might wear my LeCheminant Skymaster tomorrow, which is very similar to this, but with a 25J ETA, but I do like to dip into 28-30mm when I can.

Well, I would want to know what powered it if it were me. "Pop the back" a wise man once said. (I did that recently and botched a FHF 72 while trying to nudge it close to accuracy.) The NZ jeweler angle is cool.

Probably an AS - I’m not getting the friction ball out just yet, I want to wear this a few more times before I play around 😂
