WatchFam Appreciation
On Instagram I’m running #WatchFamAppreciation week, and I thought I’d share my first post on WatchCrunch!!! I’m showing off two photos that @talkingabouttime took of me and my Grand Seiko ShunBun when we went out for a ramen lunch during WindUp Watch Fair in NYC. First of all, Stephen’s photography is so good that I’m beyond grateful to be in these photos.
However, most of you probably don’t know that @talkingabouttime had a lot to do with me continuing to write about watches and WatchFam. He pushed me to reach out to people about my writing. I am actually a writer by trade, and never intended to write in this community (if you can believe that). But I’m so glad I listened to Stephen. Because of him I sent a message to @buettner asking if I could write for Worn & Wound and things just took off from there. He literally chanced it on a person who had only written two articles. However, I definitely would not have taken the step if Stephen hadn’t made me feel like there was room for me and my style of writing in this community.
Contributing writer for Worn & Wound, Mainspring, and Time + Tide. Been collecting watches for the last few years. Love a little bit of everything.
