First G-Shock - Solar/Radio
My first G-Shock > GW-M5610U-1CJF. To be honest I didn't care much for the most popular version with the red line and gold lettering, but when I saw this blue version from the Japanese market I made it my first watch of 2024. I am impressed with its quality. The texture of the rubber is unexpectedly soft . The blue on the face is quite subtle, as is the gray lettering on the case. For some reason the camera accentuates these colors, but in person they are more subdued. I wanted a solar/radio watch with multiple time zones, and this fits the bill perfectely.

Yeah, the original is a bit of a commitment to classic Casio coloring habits. It concerned me a bit when getting one, but it grew on me as I came to respect "unapologetically Casio" a bit more. The watch itself is killer though. One of those watches that makes you feel a tiny bit silly for owning anything else.

Wearing mine right now! I like your blue version better though but I got this one for a steal. Can’t beat multiband 6 and Solar in 1 watch!
