Durch eine Uhr aus Glashütte habe ich angefangen, mich für das Thema zu begeistern.
Daher habe ich eine ganz besondere Verbindung zu mechanischen Uhren der sächsischen Schweiz.
Mit dieser Uhr habe ich gleich mehrere Punkte abgehakt. Es ist meine erste Hand Aufzug Uhr von Nomos, eine schlichte dresswatch und meine erste NOMOS.

I think that expression was courtesy of the Longman's Learn German handbook that was used in schools in Scotland back in the late 70s, early 80s.
I didn't take German at school but did go on the school trip to Koblenz. They decided to give us a crash course in basic German & that's the only thing I can recall. Needless to say I was never questioned by anyone enquiring as to what my suitcase was, which was a real shame 😂

Unfortunately at my stay didn't get to learn much German,I learned graffiti is legal so you can draw on people's houses 😂if you smile and wave at people you get totally ignored,pints of larger are severed in a a huge vase 🤣few x rated things I won't mention 😂🙄foods amazing I also went to hamburg really good 👌

I love Germany, they do things correctly to a standard beyond what we expect in the UK. It's clean, easy to get around & very beautiful in many parts of the country. If my German were to expand beyond suitcases & how much is that, I'd gladly retire to Berlin or Munich.

Yes totally agree my friend,main example I always use is there motorways to ours,people don't get when I tell them traffic doesn't exist 😂🤣👌
Yeah, the NOMOS design is very pleasing. I've yet to buy one, largely because I don't know if I'd like the lugs. And as you said, a manually winding watch does feel special, I would agree.
