First Watch!
Big moment! I recently ’Refurbished’ my dads old watch, which has been gathering dust on a broken bracelet for a few years now, and he gifted it to me as a Graduation Gift. It’s not a work of art by any means, but the move from purely theoretical nerding to actually owning and wearing a watch feels great :D Still saving for something more aspirational, but I’ve learned a lot from working on this one and it has really got the spark going. Happy Days!

Watches with stories like this tend to be some of my favorite pieces--you simply cannot beat the feeling of successfully tinkering with an older watch in order to give it a new life--Bravo.

Yep! Fully decent movement as far as quartz goes imo :)
Nice choice for a first watch! Seiko is definitely a great gateway drug
