Anyone Watch Steve Lehto on You Tube? What's He Wearing? โŒš

He's an attorney in Michigan who's been on YT for a long time. Informative and entertaining.

He seems to be a watch guy too, as he's always wearing a proper watch. Can you identify what he's wearing in this recent video? It has a coin-edge bezel like a Breitling Navitimer. Is that what it is? Screenshot is at 4:34 in.

Looks like a Breitling Navitimer note the โ€˜wingsโ€™ logo under 12.

ยท

Looks like a Breitling to me, I can just make out the wings in your screenshot.

ยท

I watch Steve Lehto often. He has always has a Brietling on his wrist.

ยท

I think is a Breitling Navitimer too

ยท

Definitely looks like a Navitimer to me. The angled link bracelet was the best clue

ยท

Looks like an Breitling AOPA Navitimer as others have said. Here's an article about the rerelease a few years back:

Ah, thanks all, I knew the brain trust here would know!

Have been reading/listening to/watching Steve for years. He helps me stand firm against my wifeโ€™s campaign for an RV!

Well, we don't have an RV but we do have a camper that fell into our laps. We tow it with our son's pickup.

My wife's folks did the RV lifestyle for many years and I was able to get an intimate peek into what that entailed.

Please donโ€™t think I am criticizing anyone elseโ€™s choices. Plenty of folks have RVs and campers and the like and LOVE them, and if they and you are happy with your choices, then Iโ€™m 100% behind you. It just doesnโ€™t match the life or vacation type I prefer.

As you know, Steve specializes in lemon law specifically, and knows a lot about automotive law in general. Heโ€™s always on about the problems of RV ownership (he of course doesnโ€™t hear from the likely huge majority who have problem-free experiences), and it makes me feel better about being a guy who just doesnโ€™t want anything to do with an RV anyway.

My wife doesnโ€™t necessarily want to own one, but she is curious about whether it might be fun to travel in one even as a rental. Of course, in the name of honoring her wish I might head out with her in a rental one day, but Iโ€™d rather do as the old ads suggest and โ€œSee the USA in (my) Chevrolet.โ€

I'm not offended in any way.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever camped?

ยท

I never really cared for the Navitimer but seeing Steve wear it so well so often made me reconsider. Itโ€™s now on my โ€œsomedayโ€ list thanks to Steve.

My wife and kids and I are avid day hikers (as long as I am having an interval where I have been able to stay out of the hospital), but while my childhood and adolescence were dominated by memories of camping, itโ€™s not my wifeโ€™s favorite thing so itโ€™s not something weโ€™ve done much during our 27 years together.

I used to have a blast just camping in the yard with my kids. My daughter always liked it better than my son, and now sheโ€™s a Wilderness First Responder getting ready to undergo Wilderness EMT training. Good thing something rubbed off other than my love of โ€œThe Godfatherโ€ and mixed Italian subs!๐Ÿ˜œ

I used to camp and enjoyed it, but I'm older now. Having a camper is much better, IMO. All the conveniences of home.

Our little 18' tow-behind camper is a lot of fun (and an RV would be similar, only bigger, naturally). Devil's Backbone brewery (now owned by Anheuser-Busch) has a campground on prem and people can camp/RV on the property and just walk to the brewery for entertainment and refreshments. Full hookups are available (electric/water/sewer). It's an easy trip.

Maybe do something like that to get your feet wet so to speak and see if it's something you won't really object to when the Mrs. suggests renting a camper?

Suffice it to say that while you are a worthy ambassador for this vacation choice, it is just not for me.

1) When I travel the country by road, I want to do it in something that is small and fun to drive. In addition: My tiny wife finds my Kia Sorento too huge to comfortably pilot, so Iโ€™m sure that hooking a camper up to the hitch will not work for us as a driving team.

2) A major thrust of my life, in general, is to minimize the gross tonnage of my possessions. Things like cars (which I specifically adore), campers, boats, and homes either drag you down or lift you. In my case, they are an albatross. While I love cars, Iโ€™d love more to live in a place where I didnโ€™t need one at all.

3) As for โ€œentertainment and refreshments,โ€ I have a severe neurological disorder that has sadly made it impossible for me to continue my enjoyment of alcohol or live music, and has cost me my entire career. My kidsโ€™ school concerts, while balm for the soul, are a physical torment that takes me a full day to recover from.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, brother. I can't imagine. You have put the situation more into perspective for me.

Based on #1 above, you'd probably prefer to some extent what my wife and I do much more often - take my small, V8 Jag (in my profile, since you appreciate cars) to an Airbnb and call it a day. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hopefully you can still enjoy getting out occasionally.

Thank you, my friend.

Yeah, Iโ€™ll swing down and take that beauty on a road trip ANYTIME! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Although it comes with a radar detector, just keep it under 150, please.
