What's the REAL value of your watches?

I dropped this comment on a two week old thread by @Duggy001 about God Tier Casios. But maybe it deserves to be a post.

I have two Casios, see below. About 15 years ago, I bought the one on the left to go travelling with. It cost 15€. For seven years it accompanied me to around 50 countries. It's been swimming, diving and hot air ballooning. I've replaced the battery twice and the strap three times. I hear NASA use them in space. I don't wear it much any more but my MRW-200H rocks.❤👍💯

What's your most sentimentally valuable watch and why?

I am going to have to be careful with this tricky question; the most important individuals in my life are my wife, two daughters and one son in law plus M the lovable Cockapoo, I do have at least one watch that brings to mind some important memory of each with the exception of M who is a dog, cannot tell time and I cannot speak DOG!

Some are priceless to me although they probably fall in the budget category but needs must and if needed they will be gone as some things are way more priceless than a watch

·

My watches are all budget pieces as I don't prioritize my watch hobby very much. I enjoy the building part more than the collecting part.

·

Anything inherited would certainly top the list.

Sometimes the greatest watch you will ever buy is not for yourself.

Most sentimentally valuable watch? The G-Shock ref G314RC I wore while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Bought new in 2006, wore it almost every day for 6 years, including about two years down range. Haven't worn much in the last decade, but it will always have a place in my watchbox.
