Service is the great equalizer

Take any mechanical watch whatever country made it and give it a service and regulation. Right out of the box the Chinese movements are well designed but lack the oil and regulation the expensive watches get. Japanese movements are the same but are usually oiled at least. Time graphers are not a lot of money so if you have a bunch of watches they are worth getting. Labour is the key factor in how much time they can spend on it dependent on the price point. Your doing yourself a favor by promoting your local watchmaker. Any watch over 10 years is wearing itself out slowly on the dry oils in it.
